Scibor's Monstrous

I'm sure we have all seen one of Scibor's Monstrous Miniatures. They can be seen all over forums like here and here. If you are terrified of being infected by forumitis or dakkaitis and haven't seen these miniature yet, then here is your chance. I am going to take a look at some of the miniatures that have caught my attention...

Moscal Shaman - This guy would fit nicely in a Genesteal Cult themed army. Or could use him as a Chaos Sorcerer. He costs 7.00 USD

Fighting Priest #1 - Could use him in an Empire army... or what I am considering is count-as Neophyte for my Black Templars. Miniature is also shorter than a Space Marine as he only comes to 29mm at eye line. He costs 9.00 USD

Fighting Priest #2 - Obviously has a more aggressive pose than the above miniature. However, I actually prefer the one above more than this... although it I am going to order from Scibor probably get everything I like in one go. He also costs 9.00 USD

Joseph the Wander - Make for a great acolyte in an Inquisitor retinue... or for a role play game like Dungeon & Dragons. He only costs 5.00 USD

Servants Set - These miniatures have alot of expression on their faces. Could use them for acolytes in an Inquisitor retinue or use them to ensure that a miniature is WYSIWYG by having the guy with the shield tag along. They come to 24 USD, which is 12 dollars cheaper than getting them separately.

Servants - I dislike the gun being carried in this set. However, I much prefer the shield in this set when compared to the other. They come to 16 USD

Servant with Tanker - Could easily use him as a Cenobyte Servitor for one of my Chaplains... especially when I'm running Black Tide. Costs 9.00 USD

Servant Orator - Another possible Cenobyte Servitor. However, I'd be inclined to do some sculpting so that his mouth is covered... servitors aren't exactly known for talking. Probably do something to match the grill on the skull. Another servant that me interest others is a scribe. He would better suit an Inquisitor retinue. They are each 9.00 USD

Reliefs - Scibor has produced several reliefs that can easily be used on vehicles like Rhinos and Land Raiders. The one pictured above is probably the most appropriate for Black Templars. However, the others are all just as good for Space Marines in general. There is the Skeleton relief and then Angels relief 1, 2 and 3. They all cost 9.00 USD with either 2 or 4 in a set.

Templar Shields - There are both large and small shields. The one pictured above are the larger shields which comes with a set of 3 while the smaller shields come in a set of 12. Both would look nice on Black Templars. There are other shields such as the Angel Shields, Small Decorated Shields and both Small and Large Winged Shields. All sets cost 7.00 USD and come with either 3 or 12 shields.

Decorated Plates - There are six of these with some of them specifically designed for vehicles while others can be used on vehicles or to decorate a base or building. The one pictured above is the Templar design with there also be Decorated Plates 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Most of the decorated plates have a skeleton theme which is pretty cool. They are all 6.00 USD and have 2 plates in a set.

Scibor also has a couple of articles which include tutorials...

Proportions of human body and contrapost
Sculpting Hands
Sculpting Feet
Hand Made Decorated Armour
Sculpting Faces
Click the pictures to see the complete tutorials... they probably won't be all that helpful to the novice sculptor. But they may give the necessary push for some to try new things out.

Now before I leave you my imaginary friends I'm going to leave a final link and some pictures from the Gallery... consider it a mini-spotlight of sorts.
