Weekly Finds

Adepta Sororitas & Inquisition Vehicles by EoE from Eye of Error - I'm not sure about my imaginary friends, but Forge World's Avenger looks freakin' bad-ass. I especially like the background of it being popular amongst Sisters of Battle.

Wood Elves Wild Riders by TEN from Tale of Painters - Some more of TEN's Wood Elves in the form of one of Games Workshop's latest multi-purpose kits. Almost hard to imagine that this same kit is used to make some very feminine miniatures...

Step-by-Step Dwarf Slayer by Roman from Massive Voodoo - This tutorial is full of some great links as well as some insight into the mind of a Slayer Sword winner. Well worth the read...

Sons of Horus Fire Raptor WiP by EoE from Eye of Error - I have a Storm Eagle sitting in a box waiting for a day that I particularly want to make myself frustrated. After that this will be my next big Forge World purchase. Seeing EoE's bare plastic and resin miniature hits home just how imposing this miniature would look on the table top.

Despite the long wait the team working on The Lord Inquisitor have come out with a new trailer... I don't know about my imagery friends or the rest of the interwebz. But I'm excited...

Weekly Finds

I'm in the Blue Mountains today for the upcoming Winter Magic Festival this weekend. The folk from the mountains are often consider weird and wacky. So with that theme in mind I've found some Orks to share...

Eul Grot'Bizar! by le kouzes from Le Blog de Kouzes - Although this gretchin' isn't an Ork, it is still worth showing off. Such a brilliant collection of bitz from different kits.

Orks Gorkanaut by TEN from Tale of Painters - It is amazing just how fast TEN can build and paint miniatures. But then the style helps. I much prefer this more muted and weathered look compared to the vibrant 'Eavy Metal paint job...

Completed 2nd Edition Boxed Set by Garfy from Tale of Painters - I wasn't a member of our little hobby back during 2nd Edition. I was aware of it with my dad pointing it out to me at the shops... however, was too young to be interested at the time. But seeing a completely built and painted set using modern colours is just awesome.

Three New Dwarfs Painted by RuneCast from RuneCast Blog - Now the stunties aren't Orks or even Orcs. But whether it's the Fantasy Dwarves or the Nid-Eaten Squats there is no denying that the imagery of them fighting big green monsters just works...

Music Monday - Everybody Wants to Rule the World by Lorde

This is the song playing in the background of the latest instalment to the Assassin's Creed series... a series that I enjoy playing but have never been able to finish due to loss of interest. Something that can be said for almost all of my Xbox & PlayStation games.

Sons of Dorn by War Head from the Bolter & Chainsword - I absolutely love this miniature. From the pose to the weathering. Especially the use of black as a spot colour. looking forward to further posts by War Head...

In Memoriam by 1000Heathens from the Bolter & Chainsword - Despite the other participants from this awesome Horus Heresy thread not producing anything recently, we continue to get some Iron Warrior goodness thanks to Heathens. The below conversion just rocks.

Weekly Finds

Grey Knights by Hexagon Sun from the Bolter & Chainsword - Of all the miniatures produced by Games Workshop over the years the Dreadknight is hands down my least favourite. It is safe to say I hate the miniature. In part it's because of the actually design with the harness on the front... stupid design and concept. Just doesn't fit into the Grey Knight imagery. But. This Dreadknight looks amazing. I love the weathering...

Carcharodon Astra by Talonatryu from the Bolter & Chainsword - While the Dreadknight is probably my least favourite miniature, the Contemptor Dreadnought is one of my favourites. It is everything the Dreadknight should have been. Talonatryu's Dreadnought pictured below helps to show why. It looks suitably brutal and intimidating...
