Tomb King Models

I'm super excited about the up coming release of all new Tomb King miniatures despite having no interest at present in collecting a Fantasy army. They look cool, and like the Dark Eldar range, they fit in nicely with the established image of the background same cannot be said for the Dreadknight. The miniatures are also filled with loads of modelling potential. The entire range could be used for Thousand Son army... especially, with the release of the all psyker Grey Knights. Now, for any imaginary friends that have been living under a rock the past 24 or so hours, here are the new miniatures which can also be found on the GW website...

Seeing that beast makes me want to revisit Egypt... just looks stunning. As I mention on One Inch Warriors, I'm really hoping the torso is big enough to cover up the chest on the Dreadknight. Also hoping that the 'Eavy Metal team do a proper tutorial on how they painted the Warsphinx/Necrosphinx.

Don't know about the rest of the interwebz, but when I first took a look at the Sepulchral Stalkers my mind went to converting some Slaanesh styled medusa. Just need to replace the upper body with something suitable... suspect that it will be a conversion requiring a commission.

Bit strange only see three boxes being released for an updated army book, but this seems to becoming a trend with Games Workshop. Producing kits that can be used to create multiple unit entries. Just take a look at the Grey Knights. I suspect that there will be some Tomb King players who will sprinkle bits from this kit in with their rank and file miniatures to give some character.

If you want to see the White Dwarf pictures before next months magazine is released, than head over to Drinkin' and Modelin'. Remember boys and girls, don't drink and paint.
