Spotlight: Master of the Forge

Been awhile since I last featured a Spotlight on Imperial Life. Time to fix that up with a look at the work of Lamenter. I stumbled across his amazing True Scale marines over on The Bolter and Chainsword the only decent forum on the interwebz. Not only does it post his content on the BnC he also has his own blog, Master of the Forge.

After the jump you will be hit by some really stunning conversions and green stuff work...

This was Lamenter's first go at a true scale Astartes. It is a Black Templar... 'nuff said. The Lamenter Marine's name is Bob apparently...

I am a big fan of the older style backpack. So much so that I am going to give it a go.

This is the first conversion work of Lamenter I saw on the interwebz. It is owned by another blogger who I can't remember at the moment... but it looks beautifully painted as a Blood Raven. Edit - It is owned by Roleplayer who has an account on DakkaDakka and the BnC

The dudes in the back row have some awesome face plates...

This miniature has alot going on about it, but is still one of my favourite Chaplain conversions...

Like many bloggers out there with skills, Lamenter has shared his genius with a tutorial on how to make Mark V helmets... well worth the look.

To finish this jaw dropping good collection off here are some more links. The first is how Lamenter creates his own True Scale Astartes while the second is a look at painting yellow... the evil colour.

This is just a small sample of what is on Master of the Forge. So if your game enough click the link and discover what sort of monstrosities can be made from green stuff...

  1. I've played Orks for so long because of the ability to convert them to almost anything. but seeing these makes me want to give Space Marines a go... All True Scale Astartes...
