Weekly Finds #60

Only two more sleeps and it is Christmas for those of us in Ozlandus. Be jealous. No plastic or resin crack under the tree this year for me. Although there is some books from Black Library in the mail. Despite it being a holiday season the interwebz has not been quiet...

Painted-On Looking Decals by Stahly's from Tale of Painters - From the tutorials I've seen this product creates amazing results with decals. However, due to the difficulty of getting Micro Sol and Micro Set in Ozlandus will have to order direct from Microscales Industries.

Review: Masq-Mini Ultimate Tube Tool by Ron from FTW - I've been interested in this product for some time now. Being able to create cables for conversions would be awesome... especially when it comes to making floating servo skulls or making some cheap servitors. Unfortunately Stefan is out of stock of the acrylic plate. Once that arrives will be picking up my own set... will be an expensive tool but then again from my perspective everything is expensive for this hobby.

WIP Artscale Imperial Fist Part 1 by Volomir from Volomir's Blog - It is amazing what some artists are capable of achieving with an airbrush. The yellow is so rich and vibrant. Just looking at the pictures from start to finish would be a great way to learn... the comments by Volomir are just icing on the cake. I look forward to seeing this guy finished.

Airbrushing for Base Colors by The Master Manipulator from Every Store Needs One - This is the sort of thing that hobbyists like myself would use an airbrush for... getting the base colours on an army worth of miniatures. Can see how effective this can be by having a look at DV8's Lamenters.

Triarch Stalker Conversion by Zail from Warhammer with Zail - Also take a look at Zail's Wraith conversion using wire, plasticard tube and bitz from Lych Guards.
