Officio Assassinorum Assassins by Third Eye Nuke from Tale of Painters - TEN's style of painting helps to make these old school miniatures just pop. Not sure if I could pull off the same style or approach. Suspect I'd go for more of the latex approach with gloss black.
Rebasing Fantasy Models by Tyler Mengel from Mengel Miniatures - For all those Warhammer Fantasy players that suddenly felt the need to pull their models off bases, this is possibly the best solution. This could also work for Space Marine players. An alternative is the 32mm conversion rings from Secret Weapon Miniatures.
- a looney journey for the advanced gamer from twelve years of age to one hundred and fifty and for that more competitive sort of gamer who likes challenges

Taurans by Overdrive from thw Bolter & Chainsword - A quick look at how to achieve masking using tape and putty. I've also shown what the guys at Massive Voodoo have done in the past as well.
Seekers of Truth by Royal Cactus from the Bolter & Chainsword - You don't often see someone taking the loyalist Space Marine Terminators and converting them into Chaos Terminators. But this has really worked. The powerfist is just awesome.

Pandemonium Genesis Cultists by Kouzes le from Blog de Kouzes - A interesting approach to washing some cultists. I've never seen matt medium used before. So I'm not sure how unique this approach is... but it's something to consider given that I've got 35 of these guys to paint. There is also Games Workshops own Youtube tutorial.

Using Foamcore: Part 1 by Universal Head from The Esoteric Order of Games - I stumbled across this amazing website while looking for a way to store my Space Hulk. I've settled on the Battlefoam Tray insert. However, there is soooo much awesome contained in this website and associated forum. I'll have to get myself set up to create some foamcore inserts for my growing collection of board games.
Imperial Fist Captain by Luther from The Mighty Brush - I was googling for individuals that have used Vallejo Flat Yellow for their Imperial Fists when I found this miniature. The technique is different to my own. But it gives me some ideas for weathering.

Warhammer: Age of Sigmar - Revealed
The Age of Sigmar has been unleashed...
I'm sure that there are many other gamers and hobbyists that have been interested in joining the Fantasy crowd. However, there has always been something that got in the way. For me one of the main reasons I kept sitting on the fence is not being able to transfer the Fantasy stuff into my Imperial Armies due to the square bases. Well that's no longer an issue...
The issue I've had is not knowing what army to collect. First World Problems. Although we don't know too many details regarding this new release. Something that is upsetting the delicate balance of nerd feelings. I'm fairly certain that I'll be throwing my lot in with the Chaos factions. Especially as round bases mean that I can transfer them over to my Chaos Space Marines...

Codex: Loot by Tim from The Tau of War - The Mad Max inspired vehicles continue this month with this clever use of Dark Eldar bits to get some awesomely posed combatants.
Lights of Perverted Science by Jeff Vader from The Convertorum - Next time I'm at a Games Workshop store I've gotta get my hands on the wraith miniature... I've seen so many awesome conversions.
Heresy Imperial Fists by Brother Galfridus from the Bolter & Chainsword - Such a vibrant yellow despite all the weathering. Looking forward to seeing this army progress.

Creating Terrain by poom from the Bolter & Chainsword - An approaching to adding some uniqueness to the Realm of Battle boards by Games Workshop. I'm actually a fan of the skull pits. But that isn't for everybody.

Something Shiny by Tim from The Tau of War - Bring on the Mad Max inspired trucks and cars...
Knights Banner by Henry from Four Go to War - Great way to add some flavour and movement to an already active miniature. Henry's blog is becoming a regular go to for me.

Tutorial Airbrush Faces by Lorenzen from the Bolter & Chainsword - I don't currently utilise the pre-assembly approach... however, painting faces and those hard to reach areas is a pain. There is also an older tutorial on painting faces by Lorenzen which looks at using washes as opposed to an airbrush. And while I'm at it his tutorial for painting Death Guard can be found here. And of course you can see Lorenzen's completed Sigismund miniature here. Because that miniature looks awesome with some hair sculpted ontop.

How to Paint World Eaters by Uruk from Tale of Painters - Almost never see dry brushing work out well of the smooth and rounded armour of Adeptus Astartes. However, the armour trim associated with the Chaos Space Marines seems to help make this work by breaking up the armour panels.
Tip of the Week by Massive Voodoo from Massive Voodoo - I'm going to have to start giving this a try as my approach of using blu-tack on a sculpting tool has had frustratingly mixed results.
Fenrys Ex Machina by Migs from Iron Sleet - These conversions show just how compatible the Forge World resin is with Citadel's plastic components.

Assassin Kill Team Conversion by Henry South from Four Go to War - Some conversions that replace the static poses of the old assassins. However, the thing that I particularly like are the bases. Somehow Henry has managed to fit in some warning lines... You can see the WiP of the Eversor Assassin here.

Harlequin Diamonds Tutorial by Dezart Fox from The Vanus Temple - This is just brilliant. Obviously doesn't offer the same sort of options that a free hand pattern has. But given how tedious free hand is, this is just brilliant. Plus get to play with the sort of scissors they gave out in primary school.

The Diva by Jeff Vader from Officio Convertorum - The blue skin helps link this miniature to Diva Plavalaguna. It's interesting to imagine that this is a slaanesh worshiping xenos instead of just another daemonette.
Plague is Coming by Kouzes from Blog de Kouzes - With identical miniatures in the Dark Vengeance box set it is tempting to do some simple conversion like these. Another take on the cultists from the Dark Vengeance box set can be seen here.

Skullz Magos by Poom from the Bolter & Chainsword - I wasn't a part of the hobby back when the Skullz program was being run by Games Workshop. But I've seen how much the Skullz Magos can go for on eBay. Seeing one showing up on the interwebz is a real treat.

There is also a tutorial on painting skin with an airbrush which includes an interesting set of paints from Vallejo. Plus other things like using feathers on miniatures as well as some completed greens.

Inquisition Henchmen by Lamenter from Master of the Forge - The three miniatures posted all look amazing and full of character. Can easily imagine each of them working alongside an Inquisitor... each with their own motives and agendas. However, it is the henchmen below that really jumps out at me...

Imperial Knight Titan by Tim from The Tau of War - The use of orange on Knight Titans really works as they suddenly look like knights trying to display their heraldry. As opposed to war machines covered in mute colours for camouflage. Tim sharing his inspiration on this miniatures makes it all the more characterful.
Ordo Malleus Inquisitor by Lamenter from Master of the Forge - Such a dominating miniature with the pose and armament. Looking forward to see how it gets painted.
