Weekly Finds #65

Sculpting Ultramarine Symbol by Garfy from Tale of Painters - The tutorial may be aimed at Ultramarine players. However, it is great for illustrating the importance of planning the process behind the design your trying to sculpt. Something that Ron from FTW has also talked about in the past.

Peek into the Rat Hole by izeColt from Spiky Rat Pack - A glimpse at some WiP on izeColt's Inquisition Warband. I am a fan of the skullhopper. Wouldn't look out of place in an illustration by John Blanche. And for those curious can see the rest of the body to those some might say sexy legs.

Painting NMM Armour by David Soper from Sproket's Small World - The guide to painting non-metallic metal is great... and the end product is mind blowing. But I strongly encourage everybody to take a look at the rest of this blog. I will understand if you never want to pick up a paint brush again... these miniatures are a league of their own.

MK6 Space Marine Armour Conversion by Ron from FTW - This is a great tutorial for anyone that wants to avoid selling their first born to get Forge World's Corvus Armour set. For those who live in Ozlandus the Forge World sets work out to be relatively cheaper compared to the rest of the world. Can see a more detailed conversion of a Corvus Armour back pack on Master of the Forge.

Making Camo Netting by Ash from Warseer - I came across this tutorial while looking for alternative companies for table top terrain. Not only did I find some, such as Fenris Games, but the thread is also full of inspiration on ways to add character to terrain pieces. And it is simple stuff such as the obvious use of razor wire and sand bags as well as the not so obvious ones such as posters and barrels.

Airbrushing Deux Razorwings by Lucky No.5 from Miniature Wargame Conversions - This tutorial shows off some of the techniques that can be achieved using an airbrush. Such as objective source lighting. It also illustrates just how easy painting vehicles can be. For more Dark Eldar by Lucky No.5 can head over to his blog Eye of Error.

Paint Stripping Miniatures by Garfy from Tale of Painters - I'm not sure if Superdrug's Acetone Free Nail Polish Remover is available outside of the Unite Kingdoms. If not this tutorial may come in handy for those Imaginary Friends who live in the land of Citadel.
