MyWargame's Knight Warden
I've shown Knight Titans on the blog in the past. But those where Knight Paladins by Big Daddy. This is a Knight Warden. It doesn't look as heavy as the old artwork and epic miniatures. But in all honesty those looked more or less horrible... not fond of the skinny look that Paladins have either.
The legs have more bulk, which is a plus when compared to the skinny Paladins. The arms still have issues with being skinny, but it isn't as noticeable due to the pose of the Warden. I'd be interested to see how the missile pod on the back would look on this miniature... part of me thinks it will look good, while the other part thinks it may ruin the miniature. But the use of Dreadknight guns and feet is perfect. You look those rotary cannons and know this beast means business. It is bigger than a Contemptor Dreadnought and it is even taller than a Land Raider Archilles...

Spotlight: GMM Studios
First saw this army over on the Pinktastic blog. Remember there was some negative comments at the time. I can appreciate why this army produces the comments it does. However, I don't agree with them. To me the theme isn't offensive and the pictures below should show why I love the look of this army...

Weekly Finds #40
This week will only have one article. But the quality of the paint jobs, conversions and tutorials makes up for it. I'm green with envy every time I look at Mad Matt's collection of Black Templars...
Black Templar Armour Tutorial by Mad Matt from The Bolter & Chainsword - The tutorial may lack the detail of other guides. However, the constant stream of WiP help illustrate the ideas presented. Can see the Battle Damage tutorial here. The finished miniatures used in the tutorial can be found here. But there is a whole load of other miniatures in the thread that should be looked at.
Edit - Mad Matt also has a thread going on Heresy Online.

Armies on Parade - US Games Day
Yesterday on What's New Today had a feature on some of the great Armies on Parade entries. It is great to see Games Workshop supporting this aspect of the hobby alongside Golden Daemons and Throne of Skulls. Let's hope this continues with possibly some proper prize support. As usual everything below the break is from What's New Today with my own thoughts in purple italics.

Space Marines - Develop Diary #1
This looks ducking awesome. Seems like Relic has taken the background and worked within it to create something that a lot of us have only had the chance to imagine while reading a Black Library novel or play on the table top. Blood for the blood god! They even managed to say grim dark in the first 30 seconds...

White Dwarf 380 August 2011 - Vampire Counts
Inside this month's issue:
The Dead and the Damned - We present an official update to the Vampire Counts army book, including new rules for the Terrorgheist, the Tomb Banshee and the Cairn Wraith.
Death's Own Garden - Andy Hall sets out to explore the Garden of Morr, the latest awesome Warhammer scenery piece from the desk of Dave Andrews.
Tactica: Cavalry - Simon Grant saddles up and offers up advice to the knights and horsemen of Middle-earth in this cavalry tactica for The Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game.
Sorcerous Pacts - When a Storm of Magic blows strong, wizards can form unholy bargains with the dead and the damned. In this article Simon Grant discusses how to use Sorcerous Pacts. Storms of Magic is a great excuse to have Dark Elves and Daemonettes of Slaanesh join forces once again...
An Infernal Alliance - Desperate times call for desperate measures in this battle report, as Andy Hall is forced to strike a deal with a Daemon to fight Mark Latham's Undead Horde.
Standard Bearer - In this months issue Jervis Johnson talks about murdering your darlings. Something that may have gone overboard when it came to writing Codex: Chaos Space Marines for 4th Edition.
Citadel Hall of Fame - In this months issue Colin Grayson's Corpse Cart is added to the Hall of Fame.
Codex: Sisters of Battle - Exclusive to the pages of White Dwarf this month, we represent the first part of the new Codex: Sisters of Battle. This first part includes the background to the army.
Modelling Workshop: Black Dragon - This miniature looks stunning. I'm more of a fan of the pose used for the High Elves dragon, but that doesn't mean the Dark Elves dragon is any less good. It is an amazing kit with loads of potential.
You'll also find full details of all the latest releases and news, plus a directory featuring all of the hobby activities in your local area.
