The June issue...
Inside this month's issue:
The inside cover has an Eldar Warhost fighting against the Ultramarines. The three Wraithlords about to charge into Calgar and his bodyguard look badass. Much better looking than the bobble heads from 3rd Edition.
Tank Shock - We present full rules for the official Eldar Night Spinner and Adam Troke talks to Jes Goodwin, Dave Andrews and a host of other designers about the iconic tanks of Warhammer 40,000. They show off the new Leman Russ, Manticore Rocket Launcher and the Deathstrike Missile Launcher. There is also a look at "Iconic Tanks" including the Battle Wagon and Baneblade.
Spearhead - Jervis introduces Spearhead, a new Warhammer 40,000 Expansion all about fighting huge tank battles, sweeping advances and armoured assaults. The Interwebz had a field day with this expansion. To sum up the competitive gamer: IT SUCKZ BALLZ! Since it only costs 11.95 I don't have a problem with it. Especially since I've got the subscription.
Lord of the Rings: reinforcements - Mat ward presents full rules for using the Dwimmerlaik, Faramir, Mauhúr and Duinhir in the skirmish game. I will never get bored of reading about Lord of the Rings in White Dwarf. Getting to see stuff come out of the pages is like a wet dream come true.
War is Coming - Andy Hall investigates rumours of something big coming out of the Studio next month. They are talking about Warhammer Fantasy 8th Edition...
On Wings of Blood - Son of Sanguinius Mat Ward offers a masterclass on winged assaults, furious charges and surgical strikes. Tactics in White Dwarf... ummm yeah.
Tusk and Gore - Duncan Rhodes has been busy assembling Boar Boyz and trolls all month. We take a look at what he's come up with so far.
Tank Wars: Apocalyptic Warfare in the 41st Millennium - There are four new datasheets and then after that they have a battle report using some of them. Robin Cruddace wins using Eldar against Graham Davey who used Imperial Guard.
Modelling Workshop: Spearhead - With the release of Spearhead, we explore some of the many different ways to models and paint tank squadrons in your own armoured company. Shows off Calgar's personal Land Raider that was built by Chris Peach. Also shows off the three Predators he built to act as body guards to the Land Raider.
Citadel Hall of Fame - In this months issue Seb Perbet nominates Brian Nelson's Bilbo Baggins.
You'll also find full details of all the latest releases and news like the Eldar Support Weapon or that William King returned to Black Library, a directory featuring all of the hobby activities in your local area, and this month's Standard Bearer, in which Jervis raves about the joy of tanks
