AbusePuppy's Tyranid Review

The original review by AbusePuppy can be found here over in Warseer. However, in all honesty I generally dislike forums like Warseer and Dakka Dakka for several reasons. So I'll be providing the links from Kirby's 3++ is the new black.

If you have any questions you can contact AbusePuppy either by Warseer or Kirby's Pinktastic blog.

Simple Blogger Tips

This isn't hobby related. But it is blog related.

Being new to the whole blogging experience meant that I needed to find solutions to certain problems I came across. Google was helpful in finding some answers. But I wanted to find one site that had useful resources collected in one location so I could avoid sifting through countless Google hits. My saviour came in the form of Simple Blogger Tips. Although it doesn't have an answer to everything (or even alot of things). It has come in handy. Such as how to make links that open in new windows or tabs. Of course there are other useful sites out there.

How Tyranids Will Change Your Game

The beginning of my Tyranid series...
This is a totally new Codex, built like the Imperial Guard and Space Marine Codices--designed to last the test of time, through the rest of this edition and into 6th edition.
- Stelek
The inability to understand something so simple as what Stelek is describing exposes just how stupid some of the Old Guard of the Tyranids are. The second anonymouse poster here is a perfect example of how stuck up and arrogant they can be. They have failed to adapt to their changing environment... ironic.

The following links explore how Tyranids have changed the way the game is played. By the end of this mini-series by Stelek you will be better prepared in your evolution into a thinking gamer. Just make sure you don't develop an irrational fear of bugs by the time you get to Part 10.

Gargoyles, Harpies, and 'Gaunts. Oh My!

After seeing the following article by Kirby over on 3++ is the new black I've decided to provide links to some useful resources such as the Tyranid reviews by Stelek and AbusePuppy. Hopefully it will help players to better understand the Tyranid Codex. Because posts like this are just plain stupid:
Tournament point of view:

The best competetive lists you can make are broadly average. They'll play against Vulkan marines and most power armor in a fair fight, most Eldar and everyone else that likes to hang around in the middle of the field. However they will seriously struggle against Orks, Imperial Guard, Twin Lash Chaos. Against competetive Space Wolves they possess a chance of survival far lower than that of a Snowball hell filled with fiery anti-freeze.

Worst than that though is the fact that all Tyranid army lists are pretty much the same. There's only a handful of units that really perform on the average-to-good scale and the rest are dire, overpriced or a complete liability.

So It Begins

In the beginning MoD created the blog. Now the blog was barren and empty, darkness covered the screens of all, and the presence of MoD was lacking.

And MoD thought, "let there be blog headers," and there was. MoD saw that the headers were in need of improvement, but lacked the knowledge to make them acceptable. Mod separated the headers into the Blog Title and the Blog Description.

And MoD thought, "let there be blog lists," and there was. MoD saw that the lists were acceptable, and he separated them to the left and the right. MoD called the list on the left General Gamers, and the list on the right Advanced Gamers.

And MoD though, "let there be a disclaimer statement," and there was. MoD saw that the disclaimer was lame and boring.

And MoD thought, "let there be a first post." And this is it.
