Forge World: Games Day Chicago '11

Emperor's Scourge has been kind enough to post up a summary on the Bolter & Chainsword of the Forge World seminar from this years Games Day in Chicago. He has been even kinder and possibly broken some rules by recording the seminar by Mark Bedford which can be found on his blog here or on his Youtube Channel here.
Summary:
More Contemptor arms.(Twin linked Autocannon arms, Plasma Cannon, Heavy Conversion Beamer, Typhoon Launchers and Assault Cannons on each arm, Heavy Bolters)
Contemptor chassis for all major Chapters and Legions(yes Chaos players that means you) are on the to-do list...apparently they sold really well.
Imperial Armour 11 is set for sale Nov-Dec.(He said Holidays)
Imperial Armour 12 is likely to feature Dark Eldar(edit I might have misunderstood because I've seen someone else say that he heard IA 13 for DE)
More Marine Armor variants to come...
More Marine shoulder pad sets...
More Land Raider Variants(a plasma cannon variant was explicitly mentioned)
They will continue to introduce Special Character models from the Badab War.(A beautiful Techmarine with a conversion beamer was shown off)
A full picture of the huge Dark Eldar skimmer was shown

40k Battle Tactics: The Art of the Multi Assault by difsta from A Plague Spreads - This is possibly the best guide to mutli-assaulting that I've come across. Difsta doesn't assume that everybody knows the rules... and doesn't assume that everybody has a good enough imagination that they can just picture what he examples.

Engelhardt's Baron Knight

I've had Knight Titans on the blog in the past. In the form of Big Daddy's Knight Titans. However, it appears that post went missing when the blog had the name and url changed. Below is some pictures of Engelhardt's own Knight Titan. It is shorter but that is because he is using the Dreadknight as the basis of the design it is bulkier.

Changing Terran into Mars on the left knee pad is a nice touch. Hate to think how fiddly it would have been to carefully remove the original letters and then sculpt the new ones. However, Engelhardt has already shown that his skills with green stuff is strong with conversions like this and this.

Weekly Finds #38

Despite it being a relatively lazy week in real life, I haven't been keeping my eyes open for articles. So this week there really isn't all that much to show...

How To: Breaking Bubble-wrap by Kirby from The Pinktastic Blog - A somewhat complex concept is simplified with the use of pictures. This article could benefit from a follow up which shows a few other examples to help reinforce the points being made. For those curious, here is the article on tank shocking that Kirby mentioned without providing a link bad Kirby.

Weekly Finds #37

This week it is all about bases... the things that can make or break an armies theme.

Multi-wound Counters by Ron from FTW - This was brought to my attention by enrgie from Anything But Ones. He came across it on Heresy Online where Ron posted it many moons ago. It is a brilliant idea. Especially, for Tyranid players who have a lot of multi-wound monsters... imagine there are players who have picked up a die only to realise it was being used as a wound marker.

Forge World: Newsletter 278

The Contemptor Pattern Dradnought looks awesome. Shame I can't justify including one in my Black Templar army... maybe in a future project.
Hi there,
In this week’s newsletter we have for you a fantastic new Space Marine Dreadnought – the Contemptor Pattern Dreadnought – along with the hotly-anticipated Carcharodons Transfer Sheet.

Weekly Finds #35

Yay!!! I've somehow managed to survive all of my exams as well as everything else going on in life. Which has been alot. Haven't played a single game in almost two months and hardly touched a miniature. However, alot of my orders from eBay have come in and my Wayland Games order was shipped last week. So should have lots of plastic, metal and resin crack to work on during my university break.

Heroes of Armageddon: Chapter Banner by Ron from FTW - This looks stunning. Ron did an amazing job when it came to planning out this project. The attention to detail is just great and will make a great centre piece to the final army when it all comes together.
